In a local museum. Okay, 50 miles or so and just off I-80.

I got to shoot a Thompson several years ago at a range in Orlando. Wow that was fun. Burned through a lot of .45 ACP ammo in a very short time!!!

What are the details on this?

Looks awesome (and lightweight)

Its a custom from Alamo Precision Rifles in Dallas. 30 Nosler with Proof barrel and AG Composite Stock. Weighs about 8lbs if memory serves me correctly. Defiance AnTi action is slick.

Followed me home the other day. Along with about 15 other boxes. Sure like the price!
They were my wife’s dad’s. He’s been gone over 20 years, my mother in law gave them to me. I reckon I’ll have to take a photo of my shotgun and post it someday.

My 16 gauge I mentioned a couple of threads back. I really don’t know how to photograph guns, so this about as good as it gets.
Anyway, I inherited this from my great uncle. He brought it home from France at the end of WWII. He did a lot of grocery shopping with this gun, deer, squirrels, rabbit and probably other edible creatures of the forest. I did my fair share of dove hunting with it, then used it for years in Cowboy Action Shooting.

The only mark I can’t ID is the one just below the Birmingham mark and the (JW).
Not sure what the JW stands for, I’d guess an inspector, but purely a guess.

JW is definitely an inspector.

It's improved cylinder. The diamond with IC.

I cannot find the crossed swords/picks...whatever they are.
The L is usually a proof, but on Belgian guns.

The one looks like a bird, below the number two, but again, I cannot find it in my reference.

These guys are pretty good at ID'ing something.

Crossed Halyards are Birmingham.

A long, sad story on how this came to me ... for another time - perhaps over a bourbon.
