When I see a picture of a bat I am reminded of when I was a kid 2 or 3 times a year a bat would get inside our home that would scare the bejeebers out of me, but they were MUCH MUCH smaller than the variety shown in your picture thankfully maybe 1/10 the size of your bat.

We would have to try and kill it as it flew around with a straw broom.
