It proved a much more suitable lens than the RF 600mm I used the previous day, due to the closer Minimum Focusing Distance of approx. 1 metre compared to the 4.2 metres of the RF 600mm. And it was so much lighter, more manoeuvrable and attracted less stares.  Cheers Dennis Ya, the R5 and 100-500 seem to be the perfect zoo rig! The zoom is such a fun lens.
