As with 98% of what I am shooting these days, it is related to the school...since my daughter doesn't do Swim Team, that team has not had me there to shoot an event...I am trying to cover more...but...I have never photographed a swim meet...until today. I generally am not afraid to jump in and photograph something I have never done before. There is a subject, there is a story, there are cameras and lenses involved...I think I can handle it. But wow, what a crazy thing a big swim meet is...I had fun. I chose this image for tonight, its not from our team, no faces are shown, just the sheer power and action. And this image has the three stages of this stroke, with the 3 leaders in the race, the alignment was what I liked most. THe AF on the A1 picks up on the eye just as soon as it breaks through the water, or the head when the eye isn't visible...it is amazing how fast the AF is on something like this.
