Double exposure..overlay?

It's actually a HDR photo, and the combination of odd clouds in the sky, combined with swaying tree branches just created the effect ! :-)

Great choice for B/W and I really like all the tonal variations of the rock strata; thanks for sharing.

Normally I find an out of focus foreground a bit distracting but here I feel it works quite well. The whole image strikes me as a dream sequence, with one's unclear thoughts starting to take shape in the foreground, and then finally sharpening in the "illuminated consciousness." At least that's how it strikes me; thanks for sharing.

Interesting POV, thanks. My intent was to focus attention in the leaf with the ripple to the left of centre and I've used the shallow DoF to assist with that.

And now that you point it out, I understand that viewpoint. I was just flying with my immediate gut reaction to the image as a whole. It just goes to show that you've got a lot going on there.

Also called buggies. Invented in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

I remember you told me they were called carts, but buggies is a new one on me. In the UK a buggy is a child's pushchair.

UK pushchair = US stroller?

Dialects vary so much. I haven't heard "buggy" for shopping cart. A buggy can be a baby carriage or a horse-drawn vehicle like Amish still use. "Buggy" is also a jocular term for a car, I think not often used anymore.

Yes, pushchair = US stroller (which is also a new one on me). Funnily enough, pushchairs/buggies/strollers are also called trolleys in the part of the UK where I live. I'd never heard that one until I moved to the North West of England. Isn't language fascinating?
