It make me shiver a little, just looking at it. This is a very interesting, colorful looking bird, Ed. I can tell from your 7DII that this image was taken a while back. Canon R7 Two quality shots that are very nicely photographed, Kirk! I believe the first shot is a double-crested cormorant and not an anhinga. I'm saying that because cormorants have those beautiful blue eyes, and the anhingas do not. Also Anhingas have pointed beaks that do not curve at the tip, like the cormorants beaks do. I love the shot of the blue heron. It is tack sharp and nicely composed. very appealing. LD, or Mike
