Bad mistake. I have never seen a bird move so fast. If you think cats are fast then this would probably have beaten one. The butcherbird was up like a flash and off with its prey, leaving a single feather to fall to the ground. Amazing experience. No photos though ![]() Today I found two baby wrens hiding in the bushes. There are two males and a female attached to this family so it seems. Not good photos as they were in amongst the leaves and tiny branches plus depth of field was an issue. The wrens had a field day with the countless small grubs and insects that were revealed. Interesting this was about 20 metres from the 2 juniors and the parents pigged out on these and only once did I see one fly across to the young. male and female Superb Fairy Wren An excellent set of pictures, Richard.
