Peacefull Dove also at Rapid Creek today

And the red-tails today also in large numbers feeding on the casuarina tree/nuts.

Three great captures!

This is a Noisy Friarbird taken in Toohey Forest in quite gloomy conditions. I was quite impressed at the IQ, given this is a full res crop at ISO 3200. The R5 and RF 100-500 are a superb combination.

Noisy Friarbirds are conspicuous and active honeyeaters which are active in the outer canopy of flowering trees, especially eucalypts. They clamber about among the foliage, probing the flowers to feed on nectar, as well as gleaning lerps and manna. They also sally after flying insects.

In the deep gloom of Toohey Forest, I spotted this Red-browed Finch taking a drink at one of the last water holes remaining in this dry eucalypt forest.

Oh man, they are just beautiful!

the little wrens are growing quite quickly and certainly move about more.
It's quite comical watching them sit on a branch gazing about and snapping at the bees as they fly past.
The the wind nearly blows them off the branch they're on

Nice captures!

This Sulphur-crested Cockatoo was feeding high up in the canopy and then took flight and I managed to grab a couple of frames. Tough shots as these birds are quick and erratic, no easy straight and level flight.

#2 is a full res 1600x1600 crop.
