Tender moment, very nicely captured Tom

Interesting tiny tail. Or so it looks. Like our baby wrens. Fascinating to watch them develop

Thanks, Mike. I figure if you can't find a way to laugh at yourself or find some humor in bad situations, you're going to be a miserable person.

I certainly agree, Kirk.

Hid behind the weeds for this shot of the Cormorants. Later in the day we went looking for the Short-eared Owls. Very happy to see they are back.....

Both of these duck shots are very nicely captured, Steve! We've had a major influx of Ruddy Ducks (and others) in my area. The San Joaquin Valley (where I live) holds many thousands of both ducks and geese.

these are cross posted from the Australian thread

We have a family of 5 here - 2 adult males one adult female and two juniors
It is fascinating to watch them and they are so used to my presence I can stand in front at about 10-12 feet (3-3.6 metres) and they just go about their activities without any distress. Amazing - never have I encountered such a privelege

Both of these are such lovely shots, Richard! It's really nice to see them carrying on with their daily activities.
