I set-up a remote flash on a tripod and positioned it in front of our old Apple tree. I shot from about 17 feet (5 meters) away with a remote flash trigger. This set-up allowed me to increase the shutter speed to 3200 (high speed Sync). The critters didn't mind at all and perched there while visiting our nearby feeders. Happy trails.
