I saw this striking bird strolling across a grassed area at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens in Brisbane this (very hot) morning.:-)

It was a tough session, trying not to blow the whites in the intense sunlight. I couldn't see where he/she flew to with the nest building material.

The Royal Spoonbill also known as the black-billed spoonbill, occurs in intertidal flats and shallows of fresh and saltwater wetlands in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands.

Cheers

Dennis

You do such nice work on these close-ups of the wrens, Richard! This shot is so nice and sharp!

Mike thank you for your very kind words and encouragement. I value them :-)

I am privileged to live in a place where birds frequent and hang about in my presence.
I don't take that for granted and recognise it's rather special

Astounding capture of these two common kingfishers, Vassilis!

Absolutely gorgeous...what a masterful shot, Pippan!

Love it, RAL!

Wonderful capture of the Rosy-faced Lovebird, Tom! Beautiful lighting.

The shot of this drake wigeon is absolutely outstanding, fotoi!

Lovely shot, SYS! I really like your wintery images. You surely captured this dark-eyed (Slate-colored) Junko very nicely!

I think both shots are very nicely captured, Kirk!

Excellent capture, 4huskers!

This shot really pops Ed! Excellent job!

Mike you are the best.

Taken from the Ft. De Soto main pier not too long ago. (#1) A brown pelican and (#2) a laughing gull. Thanks for looking!
