We have three species of teal (green-winged, Blue-winged, and Cinnamon) and each of them are quite attractive ducks, at least in my opinion. I'm not sure about the look in the eye, except that they often squint or close their eye(s) while preening their feathers. I think I caught this guy just as he was about to close it. What a nice shot of this Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo, Richard! They are an attractive bird, and they appear to be fairly large. Beautiful capture, SYS! Beautiful drake wigeon shot, fotoi! You surely got some terrific color in this image. Masterful shot of the Verdin, Tom! He make me nervous standing atop all those thorns. ![]() Wonderful capture of this lovely Pine Grosbeak, Steve! Many thanks Mike, always appreciated. Happy trails. https://www.flickr.com/photos/137782669@N07/

Love the feather detail of these Teals. Many thanks, Jose. The flank feathers have a lot of contrasting detail and make it easy for the camera to focus on. LD, or Mike
