Congrats!

Glad to see my old 35GM has stayed in the POTN fam lol.

Edit: its a great walking 35 and even though I settled on the Bigma and 35i, I found myself renting a 35GM for Hawaii last year because it's probably the best all arounder 35 for Sony

Haha, yep, it stayed in the POTN family...and isn't going anywhere.

Glad to see you back in the portrait game pre hehe. Awesome as always

Thank you. Now that I'm back to the 7R Family(pre-ordered the RV), I'm planning to do more portraits next year.

Now that it has small and medium raw, I can use it both in RE and Portrait. The main reason I sold my RIV was because it's so overkill for RE.

Haven't posted in a while. Sold all my Canon gear several years ago. Then I picked up an Olympus EM10 Mark II 4/3 camera. Used it very sparingly through the years and missed my Canon stuff.
Today I just picked up an A7R3 and a 24-105 G OSS lens to really get back into photography. From the few test shots I did, I'm very very impressed. Can't wait to start using it a lot!

I would not normally use 35mm for cars...but hey, its the new lens so it has to be on there all the time now...I should use 35 more. The background on this sucks, but I finally found the right lens or FL for this shot, now I just need to find the right place...85 was not showing the curves as much, and wider than 35 was showing too much distortion.

That 1.4 background blur is something else, softens it, and the working distance is better than 85, you can't get back far enough to shoot this sometimes.

As I was shooting a Family session at Ambleside park in West Vancouver, honk honk honk.

Sometimes I add silly photos like this for the clients. Simple images just reminds them of the fun photo shoot that day. In Vancouver we are not so fortunate at this time of year to land days like this. This time of the year is for the xmas card photos that presents that winter season feel.

I continue to be amazed by the performance of my Sony RX-10 MkIV. To me, it still holds its place as the premier bridge camera, even though it is getting long in the tooth by camera standards. Rumours occasionally circulate that a MkV will be released, but with the current challenges to camera production, I am not holding my breath.

I volunteer at an open scientific wildlife sanctuary on the island of Tiritiri Matangi, in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf, here in New Zealand. It is here that one can find many extremely rare or threatened species of birds. In the latter group is the NZ Kereru, a very large native wood pidgeon. They are rather like the C130 Hercules of birds: big, heavy and able to do STOL! They tend to fly rapidly down the pathways of the island in their pairs, and I have felt the wind of them on my head on more than one occasion.

I went out this morning. There is the local Clifton Suspension Bridge here in Bristol & I still haven't got the elusive mist/fog under the bridge shot YET!! Today was forecast fog, so went up, it was so thick!! Couldn't even see the bridge. So, for the first time, I stuck the drone up through the fog & managed to get above it! Wow, what a sight that is! I've got a bit to edit but I'm looking forward to those. Just wish the sensor/IQ on the Mini 2 was better!

Easy, easy, easy, easy….SO easy: You shot that with your Sony FE 400mm F 2.8 GM.

Great photo.
