What were you doing to elicit that somewhat bemused, quizzical expression?:-);-)a

Cheers

Dennis,

>snip
The images you have taken of these if you had not told me how big they are I would have thought they were twice that size!! Excellent images!!

Charles

Your query about the size of these diminutive frogs led me to use the Ruler Tool in PS CC to measure the length of the body, which was approx. 3170 pixels in the full res image.

Assuming a body length of 22.5 mm, I then measured the diameter of the toe pad at approx. 105 pixels, which makes them around 0.75 mm diameter – tiny indeed.:-)

Cheers

Dennis

Mallard

Interesting shot, fotoi. This mallard has the coloring of a hen mallard, but the bill color of a drake. If I had to guess, I'd call it a juvenile drake mallard, or maybe not -?.

Dang yes that IS tiny!! smaller than 1mm in diameter would be smaller than 1/32 inch diameter for the toe pad!!

Here's a close up of the head of a Lynx Spider with the EOS R5, 40mm Extension Tube and RF 100mm F2.8L IS USM Macro lens.

Tough work holding the rig steady at approx. 2:1 and trying to keep the insect in frame.:-)

The viewer gets to choose which eye is "looking at me"....

Cheers

Dennis

Hi Richard

A little off-topic, but do you know the meaning behind the Blue, Red and yellow ear tags?

Cheers

The National Livestock Identification System (NLIS Cattle) provides a permanent, whole of life identification system that enables individual animals to be tracked from property of birth to slaughter for food safety, product integrity and market access purposes.

Every livestock must have an ID inserted in their ear
I think the colour is up to individual farmer
These are not mine. I rent the farm to next door dairy farm
