I gather you're on something out there in the waves. Positioning yourself must be challenging

Thank you for the kind words. I'm actually on land shooting from 100 yards or more from the surfers. On my flickr account all the exif data are on each pics. When you are on flickr, click on the picture and scroll down a little to see the exif data. Then if you want, press "L" on your keyboard and then press F11 to view fullscreen.

Thanks. I'd probably do a lot more if I lived near surf.

Most of the birders I know are good folks, but I have run into a few who take things way too seriously.

I took another hike

out on Point Loma, trying for two lifers. Found one, but no pics. But I did get what I thought were some interesting shots surfers from the cliffsabout a hundred feet up.

Not sure if this belongs in this thread as it's probably more of an abstract image, but here is a shot from my experiments using a very slow shutter speed in the surf.
