They're lovely trees, and they grow very large. The one on my street is so tall and spreading that its upper limbs shade the cones low enough to shoot. Taking advantage of the light on yours got a good result.
Thank you, OhLook. They are lovely trees. Pippan had convinced me that I should be using Bracketed Exposure, something I had not used for ages because I felt it was just too bothersome to remember which tab it was on.
However, I found I could store it in a custom C1 - C3 setting or set it up very easily and quickly from the Q menu.
