Sorry to hear about Carl. My condolences.
Just got the lab results on one of mine who needs dental and she has CKD also. I've had a few with it and it is pretty common, the only thing you can do at Lenny's age is to get the senior blood work done or to weigh them constantly.

We lost Carl a couple of weeks ago to kidney failure. He gave us 14 great years though, and his brother Lenny is still chugging along. Getting the cats was what got me into buying my first DSLR (a 40D) way back in 09, so I will be eternally grateful to the little furball :-)
