The gull may very well have been looking at her to see if she is carrying food, as gulls tend to do when they live close to lots of humans that eat outdoors.

You’re not wrong in that gulls do do that. But in this case I shot him from home and he just happened to fly towards me to land on the roof right above me, where they like to hang out. greyswan I have just suddenly realised just how deranged I am More info | Gulls are masters at deciphering human body language, and implementing it. I once sat at a park picnic bench, and a gull with an injured leg came and perched on the other end of the table. He held his injured leg up and cocked his head at me with a long stare, *asking* for a bit of my sandwich. Quite interesting to see how he manipulated people like me into giving him food. Gulls often just snatch and run, but he could not do that with his vulnerability. Chris
