after 36 months I am taking our first trip to Europe next week, time for Christmas markets, it is a short trip and deciding to bring only one camera, which one Leica m10 28, 50 and 90 m or Sony A7R4 with zoom 16-35 or 24-105.

Hope you had a good thanksgiving...

Cheers

Cheers,

Yes sir, we did - hopped up to NYC to see the Macy's Thanksgiving parade with the kiddies. They had a blast.

Hope you all had a stellar thanksgiving folks!

As it is now December, you all have my permission to mention Christmas, not impressed when people begin doing so in November (or earlier).

My winter holiday open season is the Monday after thanksgiving although this year we put up the lights over the weekend just because it was so nice. On Monday though, they get lit up.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I did! It seems really intriguing as a potential upgrade. The clearance between the drip tray and group head isn’t great though so it gives me some pause. But outside of that, seems like a fantastic machine.

And Happy Thanksgiving!

I wonder about that. it does suck because the gaggia is low and I have some difficulties when using a scale. I did however order a lunar :) its so expensive but the size and functions will make up for the cost.

the micro is really nice on the size, but I still like the mini for the more spacious work space. a good option though if you dont want to fork out the dough for the mini. I may just settle for the smaller one, we shall see hehe.

ahhh the excitement! hope you have a good and safe trip. it's hard of a decision, the sony will be better on lowlight, but if you have been doing good with the m10, then Id go for the m10 for the more enjoyable shooting.

I still wonder which I would chose to bring with me if I had to chose one. maybe leaning towards sony more because I have more lens and the iso performance. If I had the m10, I would consider leica more.

good experience for the kids. I can only remember 1 parade when we were small that happened right in front of the apartment where we lived. Dad got us some balloons to hold.

brother's mother in law rented a house and invited us over for dinner so we had dinner there. for lunch I just got fried chicken. otherwise, I enjoyed the 4 days off. was over way too soon. :P

Yeah, the lunar is a nice upgrade! Totally not a necessity but a nice to have.

Completely agree, though some of the internal changes seem like an upgrade over the Mini. I’m hoping some of the flow profiling mods from the mini make their way to the Micra. Those mods are cheap so if you could get a flow profiling Micra for the price of a mini I’d jump all over it.

Yeah that's me hahah you have a good memory. I scraped my arm but cracked my pelvis and knee in bad spot right now, will be paying for this for the rest of my life.

I'm doing splendid, moved to GA, got into aviation, work for MRO and got my private pilot's license.

How's you? Still at the islands?

Ha. We’re on a similar hobby purchase pattern it seems. Just built a new computer in the last month.

Went from a 2700k to a 13700k, what a difference 11 generations makes, haha! Still trying to figure out which GPU is the best for my use case… not really fond of the idea of paying $1000+ for a video card.

ahha ^5

now you need to get into archery :P

cool build! Im sure the 2700k was still good for a few things. Im preping my 3770k to use for work because I still think its good for what needs to be done. currently using a pentium duo core 2 at work haha. are you gaming or doing anything that requires the video power? intel arc seems like a good mid entry card. i built a z690 last year and bought a rtx3070 ti for a little under 1k zzzz. few months earlier I kind of rebuild the system with some new flashy parts and played with rgb. and got tiny gpu upgrade.. rtx3080 because i like the look... i need help.. haha..

got pics for your build? I been meaning to post and share in the computer thread but been lazy.
