Yeah that's me hahah you have a good memory. I scraped my arm but cracked my pelvis and knee in bad spot right now, will be paying for this for the rest of my life.

I'm doing splendid, moved to GA, got into aviation, work for MRO and got my private pilot's license.

How's you? Still at the islands?

man you sure love to hurt yourself lol what happen this time?
where were you before? and where in GA?

That's pretty cool that you got into aviation and have a pilot license. I think you mentioned it the last time we spoke, about you and aviation. are you still doing weddings?

i only visit oahu, I live in cali. not much with me, just cycling through my hobbies. added archery as a hobby a few years ago ehhe. other then that, just working and buying toys. I dont have a family yet to ease my GAS purchases.

ahha ^5

now you need to get into archery :P

cool build! Im sure the 2700k was still good for a few things. Im preping my 3770k to use for work because I still think its good for what needs to be done. currently using a pentium duo core 2 at work haha. are you gaming or doing anything that requires the video power? intel arc seems like a good mid entry card. i built a z690 last year and bought a rtx3070 ti for a little under 1k zzzz. few months earlier I kind of rebuild the system with some new flashy parts and played with rgb. and got tiny gpu upgrade.. rtx3080 because i like the look... i need help.. haha..

got pics for your build? I been meaning to post and share in the computer thread but been lazy.

Yeah, it was still fine for some things, but would show its age even with photo editing. The upgrade has been nice.

I’ll probably look to get a 4070 TI when they launch next month, I do some gaming and some machine learning work so it would be good for both of those.

Here’s the build, currently in its Christmas theme haha.

Tony hope you enjoy your first trip in three years. We have traveled a bunch of times since last year. Caribbean a few times, Italy, Spain as well. Next year will be Portugal, Italy and the Philippines. Taking our son to Manila, Boracay, Cebu and Coron. Might swing by El Nido too.

i upgraded because I was having a hard time getting adobe updates with win7 because they werent well supported anymore. it is alot faster so thats a good thing. i was fine with mine though since Im sporting a 12mp camera and 24 as my two mostly used. which gpu is on the computer at the moment? I also went lianli case and fans for my upgraded parts hehe. i gotta take some better pictures of it, was waiting for an ikea cabinet to add to my desk and I just got it a couple weeks ago. also still have the plastic wrap on my case hehe

waiting on diablo 4 now. worried but also excited to play it. worried for the different changes its made and the micro transaction.

my white pc build will sport the white 3090 asus rog. call me crazy, yes I spent alot for it, but not over msrp.

It’s currently running a GTX 570  Honestly I have to do most things of integrated graphics but I need more than 2 monitor outputs so it’s in there for now.

Yes, please take pictures!

The White ROG STRIX 3090 is such a nice looking card… there was a used on on eBay I almost pulled the trigger on this week. Once I get my GPU I’ll get some white sleeved cables for the build.

Was in Massachusetts, moved in 2019. Just 45 minutes south of Atlanta.

Rarely doing weddings now, did 3 this year and one booked for next year. I think that will be my last one. But then again, I've been saying this for years now.
I'll be able to quit only if I sell all of my gear and just get a Leica M10 with 35 and 50 ASPH and call it a day.

Cali changed man, surprised you're still there haha.

and I pitied myself for having a gtx960 hhaha. dayyaamm. yes the white rog strix 3080+ are nice looking. the 40's is rather ugly tbh.. just a big block. i also need to get some white sleeves before i build my white z590. ive always believe in buying the latest and greatest when it comes to computers, but covid changed alot of mind sets hehe.

will definitely take pictures. here's the old build for now.

yes I still love them big coolers :) the refresh build has the nzxt aio, although I like the cleaner looks and the fun of adding gifs on the block, I don't like the noise. white build will be air cooler but not dual tower. gotta show off the rams 8-)

That’s a nice clean build!

Is the NZXT Aio that much louder than your air cooler? My Galahad is dead silent… the noise (or lack there of) was actually the thing that stood out to me about my build. The fans will ramp if I’m running benchmarks but it’s next to impossible to pin this CPU to the max in real world. I also undervolted it a bit which helps quite a bit.

Not ENTIRELY, I did a CPU/Motherboard/Case upgrade more or less, I went with a Ryzen 9 7950X on a Crosshair X670E Hero, 32gb of GSkill Trident Z5 RGB, 2 new Samsung 970 EVO Plus drives and a Hyte Y60 to put it in.

I reused my RTX 3080 FTW3 because the 4000 series cards are stupidly overpriced
