This is my 2014 Chevy Malibu.

Yeah, I know it ain't sexy, but it's a workhorse.

I bought it from my aunt's estate after she passed in 2018. The thing had 17,000 miles on the clock when I got it. It's got about 118,000 now. Last year I drove it from St. Augustine to Boston, then across the country to Seattle to pick up my daughter. From there we drove down to Newport, Oregon to start the drive back across the country to Boston on the longest road in America, US-20. We then drove from Boston down to St. Augustine.

If not for a suicidal deer in Iowa, it would've been a perfect trip!

I've got other rides, but this one's the daily driver...

Wow that must have been an interesting trip (on US-20).

I'm mainly here for the snacks

Do you run an aftermarket oil cooler on it?

I do not. I don't think I have ever come across an oil heating issue while surfing the Xterra forums. Mine certainly runs nice and cool even with 125K on the clock.

High oil temps are the norm with VQ 370z ownership; Maybe Nissan went to better cooling on the Xterras ?

Not familiar with the z cars. Do they run the 4.0?

350z has the 3.5ltr, 370z has the 3.7ltr - both run hot without an aftermarket oil cooler -

Mine's temp stays behaved, but I've not seen north of 130 yet. Couldn't resist trying this today since it was nice out, I'll re-attempt when I have more time to set it up better. I was fighting sunset.
