Does anyone have any experience with EF-GF adapters (preferably the ones that support AF)? I've been trying to find out information about which one to buy, but it seems not many people have bought these things. I still have a good bunch of EF lenses lying around and so I thought I might as well put them into use. If only I new which manufacturer to go for...

i had the metabones adapter. definitely not the cheapest but i'm familiar with the brand from when i had a panasonic gh5 and so i went wtih that, ..

it worked ok (good enough) on the EF100mm macro. and not so great on the old EF 50mm 1.4, but the AF on that lens wasn't so great even on canon dslrs. thats all the input i have, i only have those two lenses .. sorry not so helpful ;-)a

A lot of people say Fringer makes the best one, I only use a dumb one so couldn’t comment on any AF ones.

Fringer seems to be most consistent in getting positive recommendations. Hmmm... Maybe I should just give it a shot.

After a year with the EF-XF Fringer Pro II, don't think I'd use another adapter.. They are continually looking into improving the compatibility and release a firmware when they've fixed a bug, or added another lens :)

I have both the Fringer Pro EF-FX adapter and the Fringer EF-GFX adapter. Both focus about as fast native on my X-H1 and GFX100S. I have used the EF 300 f/4L, the EF 100-400L Mk2, the EF 85mm F/1.8, the EF 135mm F/2L, the 40mm f/2.8 pancake, and the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L Mk2 on the GFX100S with good to very good results, including Eye AF.

In general the better your Canon glass, the better it works. Recommended.

Handheld with the new X-t5 (edited in LR)... I'm pretty happy with the low light performance so far...
