Lame-Duck I have indeed had pine nuts More info | Dec 31, 2022 00:06 | #6798 RW123 wrote in post #19461430 I went a drive to the Skagit Valley to see if the snow geese have arrived--there were few with large migration patterns in the sky--. Here is a shot taken along the Skagit City Rd. --enjoy.. Nice shot of this tundra swan coming in for a landing, Rich! Terrific flight capture of this drake mallard, Mark! You definitely nailed this shot! TheFloridaShooter wrote in post #19461499 For me this was the what made my day! I photographed this immature Bald Eagle's very first flight in February 2020. It wasn't pretty and he actually crashed into a tree on landing. But look at this Eagle soar now. Camera: Sony Alpha 1 Dec 29, 2022 Excellent shots of both the mottled ducks and the Bald Eagle, Johnathan! Nice capture, Manny! One of the upper geese with a sorta curved neck seems to possibly have an aluminum band on it's left leg. When processing this image, could you tell if it was banded? LD, or Mike

I didn't see the band at all, just their haphazard landing sequence reminded me of the 1976 "Thin Lizzie" song. I've seen a few Canada geese with wing tags though. Thanks for the compliment! No Manny, The eyes are not so sharp anymore, but I'm always looking for banded waterfowl. Every photo I see posted, I just have to check for bands. LD, or Mike

Lame-Duck I have indeed had pine nuts More info | Dec 31, 2022 19:38 | #6809 This is a fantastic, beautifully composed shot, Dave! 2slo wrote in post #19461859 Thanks Mike. I was tasked with taking some family pics at our local water park today so I only took my 85mm lens. On the other hand I'm not one to pass up an opportunity especially if she flies right by me! ![]() You certainly made a terrific shot of this gal, Mark! Her pose is perfect! I love it! LD, or Mike
