Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Turning the Corner. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Borrowing this from the Rose Parade this year.. Turning the Corner is this weeks theme.

Here are the rules:
1. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.

2. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you).
3. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
4. Post your shots at any time during the week.
5. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

We are hopefully turning the corner from the multiyear drought. The creek behind our place is running strong for the first time in 3 years.

Tim, I was thinking about using the same idea. I don't have a creek. Other bodies of water would have to do, but who'd want to see a flowing gutter that was built with poor drainage?

Your image has an impressive painterly quality. Was special PP involved?

No PP involved, it really had the wet purple/blue look to them. Just raw file with standard conversion.

No pic to add, but hope you California folks are surviving the weather systems safely, and that things will be turning the corner for you soon. News report images do look nasty. :-(

Turning the corner on a walking path a couple of days ago. 'Twas a nice sunset.

Thanks. The weather makes for plenty of inconvenience and frustration these past few weeks. I don't think I'm in actual danger, but provisioning is harder. I check forecasts to predict the least bad times to go out and replenish supplies. Stores' closures for holidays didn't help!

We received 3.35 inches (85mm) of rain in the last 24 hours with rain predicted for each of the next 10 days. Quite a change from January 2022 where we received less than 1 inch of rain for the entire month.

It's turning the rocks green! :p
