The pub is called Baghaven - a Mikkeller brewpub - on the far side of the harbour from town and the best place to catch the sunset over Copenhagen and a cold beer ...

Blimey Nic Quel horror, but all you need to do with that situation is to yell

Lego a my beer!

Nic, if you had a beer in England you wouldn't have to worry about either crocks Nic-ing yer beer or having such nasty taisting beer that you have to freeze the taste out of it 8-) Good beer needs to be at 56ºF, the temperature of the old Englisg castle to be at its best mate 8-):mrgreen:8-)

Copenhagen must be a strange place: beer in a wine glass, a garden in a car and baby crocs escaping from the lego factory down the river!

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

John there's a very good reason to chilling the beer.
When it goes down the gurgler it starts to warm up.
Then it meets the gut and gets even warmer and starts off the fermentation again.
It's called value adding and adds to the experience and a longer lasting effect on the body.
This proves its gotta be COLD John

Here's some more interesting trivia and there's no shortage of them.
So pull up your cold, warm, hot beer and enjoying

And just what’s wrong with drinking a cold lager out of a wine glass? Have you guys got no refinement down under?:-)

Thanks for those links Richard - amusing.

Anyone collect beer mats by the way?

The railway Tavern. Meopham. UK.
Local watering hole.
I couldn't get a full frontal view due to parked vehicles.
Ex-Courage house dating from 1861. Served as a hotel until 1905. Its two separate bars still have the feel of 'public' and 'saloon' about them - the latter, at the front.

The following link is quite informative:-

Interesting reading Ray.
They liked their Whiskey
Certainly some history tied up in those pubs.
Staging posts were synonymous with pubs here and as transport improved they pubs waned and many disappeared.
Mortuary. Interesting use!

The title reads Insufferable. Don't meddle over your perseverance ability. :p
Suppose a few pints of John's warm ale will fix that

Grammatical pedants make puns at a higher rate than average. Run that brain cell through another click.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa | Comments welcome

Well - You have warned me, Richard, but too late for the broadside it seems - I really must put my brain in gear before I open my mouth!-?
I used to represent my department on EMC problems every two months - one of the external members was an insufferable pedant - the first hour of any meeting was taken by him crossing t’s and dotting i’s from the minutes of the previous meeting. What made this performance even more insufferable was the fact that he was not even English, which made the other participants look a little bit - eeer - lacking in a grasp of our native language .-?:-) The banter and comments among the groans generated a few laughs.

I’ll run the brain cell again later - I‘ve used my click allocation for this week. :p
A friend of mine was embarking on a French language degree course - he was told that he must study and understand his own language first.

So that's why I found learning français so difficult. But I do have the accolade that "Je parle français comme une vache espagnole."

Well, that always bought a giggle from our French friends :-P
