Thanks Levina. They are in the same family as the Long-tailed Tit, but I couldn’t find any other members with this difference in eye color.

Loaned this lens from Canon for my typical Saturday at the track...

Initial impressions:
Light enough to carry for 6 hours in my messenger bag
Quick focusing
Great reach, all the way to the far side of the track and maintained subject tracking with only half the subject above rail

However...

The loss of light/stops at maximum or near maximum range towards sunset was a killer for me. Noise was very bad as my ISO was the only variable that wasn't fixed since I need at least 1000th of a second for the horses during the races.
