When you're sitting on your living room couch on a chilly winter's afternoon and you hear that unmistakable 'who-cooks-for-you' from your backyard, you get your camera, run out and start shooting.

I was mistaken, I did a search and saw an article on legless crabs and found out they existed ... but I misread, they were from the Jurassic period. No longer around. They say they still don't know how they managed to move around without legs. Maybe that's why they became extinct??? Ha!

I'll have to look that up.

Great capture of the cute Fairy Wren.

Brown Honeyeater - a very common bird around Darwin and most of Australia. I often can't be bothered even to lift my lens for these little birds, but sometimes they pose perfectly :-)

Nice one. I'd be more than willing to lift my lens,

Beautiful! I really like the contrast of the bird and the snow, as well as the bokeh effect!
