Lucky you,in your backyard! Great shot!!

Thanks much, Dave! Sometimes the 'stay-home-and-let-them-come-to-me' approach pays dividends. ;-)a

Very captivating shot of this owl, Steve! It is seriously locked on to you. I love those black beady eyes.

Thanks, Mike! I think those eyes were telling me to go back to my couch. ;-)a

I've waited, watched and wondered when I'd see an owl in this tree! After years, finally saw one last week. Hopeful that it becomes a nesting spot.

Happy trails

Paul that's a very nicely composed photo. Shows an interesting natural interaction I'm not accustomed to living inland.
Good timing, right down to the water drop :-)

Black Phoebe, front and back.

Lovely couple of photos Ken
Always interesting to see fore and aft images of them. Shows the birds beauty very nicely

Brown Honeyeater - a very common bird around Darwin and most of Australia. I often can't be bothered even to lift my lens for these little birds, but sometimes they pose perfectly :-)

Ulrike this really is very nice and well worth taking the time to capture. :-)
Beautiful composition and very nice setting

It's so easy to see "common " birds as just that. Not sure I've learnt that for the wrens yet

The Fieldfare is an attractive bird. Far nicer than its scientific name
Your third one is very also with the 4, nicely composed

Thanks Richard. Surprising how much detail hides away in the shadows.:-)

Very sharp, lifelike appearing image, Ulrike! Great work!

Thank you for your kind comment, Mike! These little fast birds don't pose still like this very often :-)

Thank you so much, Richard! Yes, we are probably all guilty of chasing the less common, more colourful birds - especially the beautiful male wrens
