A young woman with psoriasis.
The aim of this session was to make photographs which highlight and celebrate the marks on her skin.
After some discussion we chose to shoot in all in black and white with high contrast lighting to emphasise the dark patches against her lighter skin.

Wonderful concept and photo. I had to look twice to see what was "painted" on her skin before I read you description.
She does seem to be a bit chilly though. :)

This was a no makeup, no touch-up portrait shoot. I used a gridded beauty dish as the key light and a large umbrella behind the camera to fill in the darkest shadows.

First shot with my new samyang 135mm f2, processed in Silver Effex Pro 3. Met this guy sitting outside a cafe, he was a native American from AZ, he seemed sad.
