What's that do to the ant colony?
Would it rob the nest to grab that? I expect the queen wouldn't run about outside, but I'm completely ignorant on their habits :-)

it's probably,as it's winged, a potential queen's nuptial flight. you've probably seen flying ants erupt from a nest at certain times of the year.
