This is a close up of a Grevillea “Superb” in our back garden, a medium shrub which can reach about 1.5 metres in height by 2 metres wide. When this blooms, it will produce large apricot-orange flower clusters that attract birds and insects.
Tripod mounted, I took 20 frames using the Focus Bracketing method in the EOS R5 and then Aligned and Blended them in PS CC. There was a gentle breeze which I think affected the final stack, as the slight movement between frames “fooled” PS CC.
#2 shows a 1600x1600 pixel full res crop of the detail in the final image.

Taken with the Canon RF 100mm F2.8L IS USM Macro lens (not yet in database) and Novaflex Bellows, probably around 3.5:1

Wow – I just ran the same files through Helicon Focus and HF did a much better job of aligning and stacking the 20 frames, with much less background blur, so I replaced the original files with the new HF files.
