But as mentioned I do prefer a perched shot as opposed to a ground one for these, so this afternoon we setup a special photo shoot in the studio and I was very pleased with the outcome. Obliging little beauties
These are virtually straight out of the camera with a tad of curve adjustment for brightness and De Noise for noise. Not sure there was any in the original

Wow...now this shot is definitely an "eye grabber," Steve! Very nice capture of the Golden-headed Quetzal...definitely a beauty!

Terrific hen mallard shot, fotoi! Color, sharpness and detail are all so nice!

Fantastic captures of both these two, Kirk! They are both quite appealing shots.

I also believe it's a Merlin, Tom. And a very nice Merlin shot it is!

I find this tolerance for one another, amazing, Steve! The hawk has gotta eat, and you'd think the mockingbird would be quite a tasty morsel for a bird of prey such as this one.

That must have been quite disappointing for the blue jay, who was probably expecting a nice refreshing cool bath.

Thanks Ulrike...I like to think it was my exceptional skill in being a bird posing expert. However, I'll settle for reality...it was luck.

Excellent series! Myakka is a wonderful place. I've been there only once and I would definitely go there again.

Thanks, sogs. It has changed a little, the weir and dam are no longer there but it's an improvement because you're able to get closer to the alligators and birds on the other side of the river for better shots.
