Well, it's not really decapitated. More like de-footed. The flash was attached to a 5D that slid sideways and dropped about six inches. Not a long distance, but enough to rip the foot off of the main body of the flash. It also ripped 3 wires (green, orange, yellow) from their posts. I replaced this old workhorse with a new 430EX III-RT, but I'd like to do a repair on the old flash to keep as a spare or perhaps a slave.
Does anyone have a schematic or a picture that tells me which wire goes to which post? My plan is to solder the wires back in place and then simply superglue the base of the foot back onto the body, unless, of course, someone has a better low-cost suggestion.
