Thanks Ed. I don't do "New Years - Chinese or otherwise - as my motto is "today is the first day of the rest of your life" (John Denver).

I suppose you want more!:-)

It looks like somewhere I attended a conference. Near Chinatown area?

EDIT: I just realised that you forgot to blur the giveaway text over the entrance!

Sorry for the delay but I was a bit under the weather and did not pay attention to email and forums... Better now.
I think you got it, Ed. Finish it off, please! It is indeed opposite "Chinatown".

Now I have seen the Mercure sign ... It is the Mercure hotel in the city centre.

Correct and over to you.

I thought it was too small to be recognisable, so I left it. There was a much bigger sign on the roof which I removed.

I agree with you Henk - I also thought it was too small to be readable. Obviously not to Ed!

I couldn't read it per se. But once I got the vague region, I thought it looked like the logo rather than the text ... and I knew it was something like a conference centre or a hotel. A quick look back in my diary showed me where I had stayed for an OPCW meeting. Sorry about the jaunty angle on this one!
