Not 100% on the ID but I'm pretty sure it's a juvenile godwit with its white eyebrow and plain tummy. Both the Limkin and the Godwit are excellent captures, Kirk! The sharpness is spot on in both shots. Beautiful shot of the hen mallard, fotoi! Sharpness and detail are so precise. This shot of the female Northern Harrier is outstanding Tom! The short wings are rounded. They forage on the forest floor scratching with their large, strong feet through the leaf litter. Adult Male birds have a grey face and sides, and are white underneath, with the Females having an orange-rufous throat. This Male posed nicely for me, out in the open, perched on top of a fallen branch. Usually, they are obscured by foliage and fallen branches as they scratch for food on the forest floor, using their broad tail as a prop with its obvious spines at the end. The Eastern Yellow Robin is in a typical pose, perched on the side of a tree on the look out for insects. They are quite friendly and inquisitive birds and will often flutter down to take a look at you. ![]() Cheers Dennis Dennis, these are both terrific captures! Marvelous close-up shots! Lovely shot of the Dark-eyed Junco, SYS! LD, or Mike
