Pine Siskin waiting for a turn at the feeder.

Two great shots!

Today I found a hidden city park (Tom Bennet Park) just few minutes down the road from me, so I'm glad for that. No I don't have to drive for a half hour or longer anymore to get some shots.
1. Osprey
2. Little blue heron.

Isn't it great when you don't have to go far? Nice ones!

Dark cap and neck, bulging eyes, skinny legs, tiny bill, all point to a Sharp-Shinned Hawk. Excellent capture!

Thanks very much sogs for the comment and ID assistance.

Nice picture indeed. You have got an interesting perspective. You were on the same "altitude" as the bird. Great job.

Thank you very much, kartsahoo! Youre right, these birds did come down.

Nice set, FS. According to National Geographic, the highest speed of one ever recorded is 242 mph. That's stupid fast!
