Nice set, FS. According to National Geographic, the highest speed of one ever recorded is 242 mph. That's stupid fast!

You'd think they'd need racing goggles :p.

Good shooting Richard

Many thanks Mike & Joe for your kind comments :-)
Mike the females generally seem to have a softer countenance. They are quite special :-)

Two wonderful captures!

Two great shots!

Isn't it great when you don't have to go far? Nice ones!

That's a beauty!

It's nice to see birds I've never seen or heard of. Excellent captures!

Thank you kindly Sogs. Happy trails.

Very nice detail and composition. Also, "bushtit" sounds like a a polite alternative to a word commonly used when someone is telling you lies :-)

Thanks Mike. That's the closest shot I've taken of one. Another cold morning, so they were more interested in getting to the feeder than flying away from me.

Great Blue Heron - The Great Blue Heron grows to 4 feet tall with a 6 to 7 foot wingspan. Despite its large size, its hollow bones allow it to weigh only 5 to 6 pounds.
