Yeah, I thought the same thing. They must have some really good nictitating membrane.

K9Kirk Likes neck nibbling and soft growls in the ear More info | Feb 02, 2023 11:37 | #23433 I spotted this urban osprey, and if you don't know it, they are usually very particular about their space. Apparently, I got too close, and it took off. I saw it down the street on another light pole but I just kept riding past it so it could eat in peace. The woods behind my house are full of woodpeckers, and they visit my backyard every day. I've managed to photograph 3 of the 5 species that live there. One of these days, I'll get a shot of the hairy that visits but doesn't want to perch anywhere except the suet feeder. The pileated, of course, just laughs from deep in the woods. I'll have to pursue it over there one of these days. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() https://flic.kr/p/2oeNMLS https://flic.kr/p/2oeTAdu https://flic.kr/p/2oeTAcN Outstanding set! 6D, 6DII, 70D, 80D, R10, RP, Lumix DC-FZ80 and a bag full of lenses.
