Thanks, I’ll post mine when I get to my computer. Nice guns!

I haven't visited this site in a while & I just had to catch up on this thread..... I was 60+ pages behind. Beautiful work & guns folks.
I hadn't bought myself a gun since the 80's. I was buying them for my Sons. Now, in the past couple of years I have spent a lot of time & money on my selection of weapons.
Ever since I was a teenager I wanted a Thompson Contender. I bought one this past summer & since then, 5 of my friends have bought them too. Now I have a nice selection of barrels for it as well. When I first shot the 10" barrel in .223 the guys commented on the muzzle flash. I have always wanted to get one of these shots, so I grabbed the camera right away.
Now, the rest of the guys are enjoying the camera shots too.
I will be taking the camera along on "range day" from here forward. Not to mention the photos I will be taking at home.
As cool as this "flash" is, I love the trigger blur.

Great job catching the flash. And I don't think I've ever seen a "hammer blur" shot before!

The contender (version 1) has been on my wish list since the 1980's.
For whatever reason I never got one. Looks like great fun. The barrel that short is rare, must make a heck of a racket with that .223

Thanks.
Yes, we are having a riot with them. One of the older fellas at the Club says "I can always tell when Paul has the 10" .223 on that gun."
That barrel is 10 inches. It looks so much shorter because of the forend.

Well, IMHO 10" on a contender is SHORT capital S. I mean, it's barely longer than the barrel on my blackhawk! (ok, maybe I;m stretching a bit, but,.. you get my point.

You are right, the 10" barrel is short, capital "S" or not. That's the point. Since the .223 isn't a typical handgun round, when it goes off from a 10" barrel you can feel it when you are standing off to the side. Put the same round in a 14" barrel & you barely notice it.
It's the same with any of them, going from the 10" barrel to the longer ones. That older guy said that because I was shooting .223 from the 10" barrel & my friend was shooting it from 14". It's a huge difference in sound, concussion, & accuracy. The old boy didn't notice the accuracy but he caught the other two.

I always wanted one, too. One day. The biggest issue is picking the caliber.....

Interesting trigger!

It's an Armory Craft Trigger. Adjustable for creep and over-travel. Width and adjustments make the pull "feel" lighter. I really like it.

I'll be the one to say it: As this is the gun shots thread instead of the G&N, please note the lack of trigger finger discipline is a danger to you, your model, the people around you and the people in the next room (including anyone above or below).
