Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Handles. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Show us some Handles

Here are the rules:
1. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.

2. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you).
3. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
4. Post your shots at any time during the week.
5. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules.
As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

The card isn't mine, but that of Rod, the president of the Handlebar Club.
I'm not a member as only moustaches are accepted.

Hi RDWP, I'm not versed in matters airplanes or miltary equipment. So where does the handles theme come in in your post?

No problem. "Handles: Herk, Herc, Fat Albert, Bleed-Air Blimp". The use is not specifically military. See Sense 3b: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/handle (external link) :-)

BTW, its starting base for that flight was Ramstein NATO Base in Kaiserslautern.

The word handle in this case is the Name/Handle used to identify the aircraft. C/B users have "handles" they use when communicating. A name that is not the birth name, a nickname. The names people pick as usernames here if not using their actual name is also a handle.

RDWP - and an unusual take on the theme BTW ;-)a

Thanks RDWP. - I've been aware of this use of the word handle, such as "scriveyn is my handle on POTN"
My fault that I idn't read your initial post properly <facepalm>

Yes - perfect example!

This Brass Hammer. Was my Dad's and I was about 16 years old. During my grease monkey, hot rod car days and beyond. Has seen a lot of use, also by my Son. It is retired now.

Well, my lighting needs work haha. Softbox is "broken" (do not buy cheap ones)
Finally got my Nikon battery charger delivered. So this is with my old D700 that my Sister sent back to me.
