Morning Moon:

Down under in New Zealand the days are growing shorter fast now, and as I tend to wake up around 5:00am, it's still quite dark. Still, as the sun lightened the sky the contrast between the black of the universe and the brightness of the full moon diminished and so I had to go out and take this: Hand-held.

These Rainbow Lorikeets arrived in the Mango Tree located in the council paddock behind our house and had a bit of rough and tumble before taking a drink from the bird bath. :-)

Green tree python in a dark enclosure. This was 65 shots taken with the focus-bracketing feature, merged in Helicon Focus and edited in Lightroom. I had to keep the shutter speed low because of the lack of available light, thankfully the IS/IBIS is very good!
