Presenting a Rosy Maple Moth.
One I've been after for some years.
Caught her two days ago. Today she finally woke up
and presented the aerials.

First is a Twostriped walkingstick; Anisomorpha buprestoides. The females are several times larger than the males, which you can see clinging to her back here. Be warned that most stick insects are harmless to humans, but this one has the ability to aim and squirt toxins into the eyes of a potential predator including someone trying to take a close look.

The second is a Deerfly. Like mosquitos, the females bite.
