Nice one!! :-)

Thanks Ulrike
They are actually attractive birds
We have some magnificent and very large sea birds but I don't get anywhere near them

Thanks Havelock. They are fast but there were quite a few of them and they gave me plenty of fly-pasts to practise on.:)

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

It was Kingfisher day for me a couple of days ago with 3 different types being spotted. They were Little Kingfisher, Sacred Kingfisher and Azure Kingfisher.

1st shot little Kingfisher. Hes no larger than approx 3 inches and flies like a rocket zapping back and forth over the water,\. Very hard to get close enough to to capture a decent shot without the NT atmospherics wreaking havoc on the image IQ .

Dinner with the Little Kingfisher - @Clipper, you left too early ;-)a
Quite difficult conditions as it just started raining when I arrived, and the light was low. Somehow I managed to hold the umbrella and the camera, as I was eager to capture some fishing action. Within a short while, he caught at least four fish and wasn't too bothered with me being around. Always special moments :-)
