Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Analog. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Show us the world of Analog

Here are the rules:
1. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.

2. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you).

3. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

4. Post your shots at any time during the week.

5. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules.

As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

Haven't shot anything for weeks other than my kids passport photos (one of which was rejected because his mouth was open)
promise to take my camera to work tomorrow.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

In the good old days...before all the digital 0's and 1's began flying around the internet, some folks communicated by using an old analog Morse code key like this one to produce dots and dashes.

The radio uses digital circuits to produce analog signals. So please just focus on the analog meters and ignore that digital display on the radio.:rolleyes:

Not much from me this week - just a shot showing Analog vs Digital - haha - on a digital 'scope - should have used the analog scope!

Nice! one could argue that a Morse key is digital in that the output is either on, or off, but that would be very pedantic! lovely to see old (presumably) wooden & brass "stuff"

very cool! in another lifetime (i.e some time last century!) I used to use spiral based oscilloscopes to get the Telegraph signals in line with each other.

Me too - but that was in Wellington in the 1970's...

One could argue that if one ignores the duration and spacing of the on-off output. ;-)a

The wood base dates back to 1980's, the J-38 key is WWII vintage.

Saw these yesterday in an antique outlet. Both phone snaps.

This Philco tv set looks like something out of a Buck Roger lab:

And this orange rotary phone caught my eye.

One of my favorite buildings in the CBD has a clock:
