Seems to work.

Rented a 1.4x 2x extenders and a RF800 and of course it was cloudy all week, got 1.5 days of sun, today was ok (the 1/2 day)

This shot is the 2x extender on the RF100-400 at f/16, the geese are at 250 yards from where I can set up.

It is really too far for an extender although the RF800 shots at the same distance are not much better.

Please leave a message on the album. I would love to read them.
It looks like I am the only photographer in the forum that has Lumix S5 camera.

And some resident domestic (domesticated?) geese. There's a whole group of them, just wandering about my neighbourhood. They're in the canals, or just chilling on houseboat decks or like this, on the side of the road. I think this was one of the last shots with the 1DIV just before getting the R6.

Nice shot and nice highlights.

I am probably getting the R6II, just waiting on the tax man and the fact they seem to be out of stock around here. The kit version is around, but I don't know that I need an extra 24-105, although maybe I should sell the EF 24-105

... so had to shoot at insane ISO levels. This was the best I could do.

Once upon a time, my Canon XTi at 400 was an insane ISO. These days, 2500 just doesn't seem that bad to me. You've "compromised" quite well with that speed!

Mostly using Canon bodies with lots of different lenses and flash.
