WOW!!! 6 months with no activity... Let's change that, yeah? Hehehehe... Since SoCal's been bombarded with lots of recent rain and snow (still more coming), it opens up to lots of possibilities for landscape/cityscape shots... Here's one from a week ago, after getting a two day break in-between a cold front that passed through... First shot is the setup... Canon 5DsR + 70-200 2.8L IS (Mark 1) + Canon 2x TC (Mark II)... Mounted at the end of the glass was a Lee Bellow Hood Filter Holder with a CPL and Lee 0.9 GND filter (stacked)... ISO 50, f/8 @ 1/50th sec shutter speed...
Photographed in the early morning at Kenneth Hahn Park... There was still atmospheric moisture in the air that hasn't burned off in front of downtown Los Angeles' skyline... Add the dark clouds over the city and the foreground is darker than it should be... But the snowcapped backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains with the sunkissed low clouds added some extra punch and contrast to the overall scene... Anyhoo... Enjoy everyone!!!
