I was wondering why you shot that at f7.1. Now I understand. At f4 you would have been at about ISO 12,500..

Simply put I wasn't paying attention to either ISO or FL, I was sitting during a family gathering at my son's house and zooming in and out with the 24-105.

At the same time I wanted to see how the R6ii and the RF 24-105 4-7.1 would do in average room light. I will be trying other low light situations as I can.

Just to show you how ridiculous this crop it (after LR and Topaz) here is the uncropped original.

Hi all. Looking to purchase this camera or the r5 for sports, mainly soccer. I am also considering a 1dx2 (i have the 1d4 which i love) but kind of wanted to get on board with the new focusing systems and such. Do any of you shoot sports with this camera, and would you go with this one or a r5 or 1dx2? I have used the 1dx2 before so i dont need to worry about things such as weight and the fact that this is a semi pro camera vs the 1d series. Just wanted to get some feedback before i made a decision.

thanks in advance.

The crop looks pretty good Ed. A little soft if I look close on a 16 inch MacBook Pro, but quite nice on an 11 inch iPad.

No new problems :-)

What are you noticing?

I haven’t downloaded it yet, I’m just checking that there are no issues.

First outdoor shoot with the R6II. Cockrell Butterfly Center in Houston. I think I need to improve the Butterflies-In-Flight settings. The static shots were very nice, I enjoyed post-processing the resulting files, though the SOOC jpgs were just fine:-D

Looks pretty good. Also appears that the AF handles difficult backgrounds well too.

It does well at that. Both it and the R7 are petty good at that.

I haven’t downloaded it yet, I’m just checking that there are no issues.

I've noticed my R6ii locks up if I let it go to sleep while the Bluetooth and wifi are enabled. I have to take the battery out for it to start working again.

I've gotten in the habit of enabling airplane mode when I'm done messing with the Canon app to look at photos or control the camera.

Picked up the mkii Saturday on my way to shoot a concert for Strung Out. I didn’t have time to charge the battery so I used a fresh LP-E6 spare from my R and got over 1800 photos and still had half battery left. I was blown away!
I’ll post up some images shortly.
