R6 with Sigma 150-600c - Does it perform?

I've put my Sigma 150-600c up for sale as part of a major downsizing of my vast amount of camera gear. Since there has been suggestions that the lens has focusing issues with R-series bodies, I decided to take a R6 body to the zoo to see if I could establish if this was the case or not. I was shooting hand-held, in available light, and can report that I had absolutely no issues with this combination and my keeper rate was essentially 99%.

This debate was fuelled by a couple of videos reporting this, and when I dug deeper into this (discussing with the publisher), I was able to establish that it appears to be specific to the use of the lens with the R7 body - and I have been told that the issue with that body is not isolated to the Sigma. Thus, I put the issue at the doorstep of the camera's focusing system, rather than the lens. If others have a different experience, I would be interested to learn of that.

Here are some images taken with the lens.

I have the Sigma 150-600mm C. It is actually my second copy. I sold the first one + the EF 100-400mm II to fund the purchase of the RF 100-500mm. Later on, as I continued to accumulate way to much gear, I got another one. I had missed the first one and it was an Open Box at an incredible deal, so I took it.

I have used the 150-600mm C with the R, RP, R5, R3 and R7. i only had issues with the R7. The issues can be substantially mitigated by making custom adjustments with the USB Doc (mostly setting the OS Mode to Moderate View) to the point of being quite usable, though still not as consistent as with the other bodies.

[As a side note, I am selling my second 150-600mm C because I got my hands on a 60-600mm]

We have followed quite similar paths, except that I kept my 150-600c when I got the RF100-500 and the Sigma 60-600s. However, I cannot justify keeping both Sigmas, it is going to be sold soon, I hope.
