For this one, I fitted a x2 Barlow Lens (x2 Extender) giving a focal length of around 4,800mm at F23.

Cheers

When you're creating a new post, do you see these buttons on the left?

The "Upload Images" button should allow you to choose an image from your local machine to add to the posting.

The "Pick from gallery" button allows you to choose an image that you've already uploaded and added to your gallery.

The only way to add an image to your gallery is to first upload it into a posting. Once it's posted, if all of the EXIF info is there, it will allow you to add it to your gallery.

You can also link in images from other web sites and services, e.g., Flickr.

No. I can’t even get there anymore. If I choose the post to thread button, it disappears when I touch it.

I had that issue some time back. Are you using an Apple product. You might have to update the iOs. Here is a link to the thread where we had a discussion about this.

Thank you for the link!
I’ll do some checking into this. Got a feeling this is the problem.

Thanks again all for the quick responses.

Again, thanks for the heads up on the software changes. I can’t on the normal iPad because I use a couple of apps that would cease to work.
But I will try this iPad that I use at scope. Only Wi-Fi but will use hot spot. :-)

Anyway this is a test shot the other afternoon using my new asi533mm. WX here has been brutal with cloudy nights and unbelievable winds day and night.

10sec movie stacked with ASIAIR plus. Apertura 77

Very nice. You mention "afternoon" so I assume this was a daytime image? Great contrast and detail, Messier A&B are very prominent.

Cheers

Thank you Dennis, and yes it is a day time shot. Maybe 3 hours before sunset Image also needs to be rotated as I was pointing eastward with sun behind me. :-)

From yesterday morning. There was a lot of haze but I enjoyed the warm moon on the dark blue closing in on the horizon.

Got a note saying my account was dormant and would be deleted.... figured I should post something! It indeed has been a while! haha
Weather sucky since last summer. Had two or three sessions this year so far. Here are a couple from my best of them for my attempts at colour - January 29th.

First the full colour disc. Lunar nuts please make sure to click the link under pic to view full size of about 7000 X 5000 pixels.

100% crop that should display fully

And the same area from my twice the aperture C11. Does not really show much more detail as the seeing did not support it.

Great images, Mike!

People don't usually think of the Moon as having colors, but they're very subtle, and your image shows them beautifully!

I like the detail on the floor of Arzachel in the C11 image. Other than the larger scope, was that the same setup as the APM140 image (Seibert barlow, ZWO camera)?

Thanks much mcoren! I really appreciate the comment... especially on colour - I am struggling with it as I have been shooting mono only for several years now.

Actually, they were completely different setups next to each other. The C11 is a CPC1100, and for that shot it was with a little mono planetary cam, the 290MM, with a baader 685nm bandpass filter. It was 2 panel mosaic comprised of the best 750 of 8,000 frames for each panel. I should have mentioned that, but did not think anyone would be interested! haha. I will make sure to mention in future when its not posted right on image.

I recently acquired the 11 and now have what I have always wanted - a dedicated HI rez kit, and separate refractor setup for eyeball viewing and full disc shots. In the past I had an 8 inch in tandem on the same mount with the 140. It worked.... but, honestly, there was just not enough of a difference in resolution for me between the 5.5 inch refractor and the 8. The 11 is better.. hehe

Here was the actual setup that night.......
