Yosemite Landscapes

Another reflection from Yosemite a few years back. I had this hanging in my company's office before I retired, and people kept asking why I hung it upside down.

I was inbound to KSFO. If the weather permits, Mono lake can be seen sometimes. We turn over the south bay and land on 28L or 28R

It's amazing how quickly it changes from desert!

These are my stomping grounds. Thanks for sharing your photos. Mono actually looks the same on the ground as it does from the air.

KSFO is how I see it. Across the bay, KOAK is in Oakland. San Jose is KSJC
On the chart, you may find (underneath the KSFO id) the location of the VOR radio station SFO.
The red circle indicates a baseball game will be played. The Giants play the Royals today and tomorrow, and the Dodgers on Monday

The green splotches indicated rain showers, but the rain didn't reach the ground as per your observation.

It's not so much the ball game but a gathering of people. I was going to joke about steroid-powered fly balls hitting planes. After 9/11, congress put flight restricted areas six miles across and three thousand feet tall over certain stadiums when games are in progress. As you can see, the temporary flight restrictions merely highlight where people are gathered and make it easier for evil-doers. They also restricted flights near nuclear power plants, but most of them weren't depicted on the charts unless they were a well-known landmark- the nuclear regulatory commission wouldn't share the location for those plants so pilots can avoid them!
